ScaleOut Software Drives the Performance of Stateful Stream Processing with its v5.7 Release

Industry-leading in-memory data grid also adds new features for in-memory computing.

BELLEVUE, WA – April 27, 2018 – ScaleOut Software, a leading provider of in-memory computing software, today announced the version 5.7 release of its in-memory data grid and in-memory computing platform. This release includes major enhancements to the platform’s architecture which accelerate performance for stream processing and data-parallel analysis. This version also includes new releases for ASP.NET Core 2.0 distributed caching and for open source time-windowing libraries used in stream processing. In addition, version 5.7 includes a preview of a new, Web-based management console.

Version 5.7’s architectural enhancements target potential network bottlenecks that can limit the throughput of data access and event processing. ScaleOut’s IMDG now includes highly scalable, fully asynchronous server-to-server communications as well as scalable event processing paths within each server. These enhancements boost processing rates and lower latency for all operations. In addition, to help developers pinpoint performance issues, ScaleOut’s platform adds new capabilities that detect and log transient outages due to management operations (such as memory snapshotting) in virtualized environments.
